Synopsis: Nacho, new in Madrid, feels lost and lonely in the big city. Through a
personal ad in a daily paper he meets Gwendolyne, a fragile and eccentric
girl in a never-ending search for her true love. Step by step, Nacho will
find out his new friend?s weird hobbies… until he reaches a conclusion:
there?s no man made for Gwendolyne!
Juan Manuel Beiro Martinez
Juan Beiro (A Coruna, 1978) graduated in Audiovisual Media by the
Complutense University and in Film Direction by the ecam. He?s been
training in several TV production companies (TVE, Antena 3 Television),
and has worked as an Assistant Director and also as a Script Continuity in
several short films. He has written and directed ?Quiero que llegue pronto
la primavera! (1999), Cluedo 5.0 (2002), drive in (2003) and Lunes (2004),
all of them in video format. Gwendolyne, my first friend in the city (2004)
is his cinematographic debut.
