Director’s Statement
The uncle and a child in this film are somehow different from other people. They think differently and act differently. Even in very poor situations, they are still relaxed and have a sense of responsibilities.
They can appear to others as fools. But I regarded them as the most brave and beautiful humans. I wanted to show the strong affection that can touch our emotions.
I only had $600 NZ dollars to make this film. I was as poor as this movie’s characters. I tried to act like my heroes to overcome poor reality.
People do not appraise of an independent movie maker who makes a movie with low budget. Even so, I still believe that I was as brave and happy as my movie’s heroes to produce this film.
