Violet Feng
Violet Feng traveled far to be a filmmaker. She was
born in Shanghai, China at the end of the Cultural
Revolution. Growing up with the tremendous changes of
China during the past two decades, Feng gained a
unique and conflicted perspective of the world. A
journalist by training, she has been telling stories
through Shanghai Television, CNN and the BBC. Feng
recently won the national Student Emmy Award. Her
first film "Changing the Taste of Mud" world premiered
at the 48th San Francisco International Film Festival
and was nominated for the best short documentary of
the Golden Gate Award.
