Synopsis: “Poor Land” shows the most ecologically destoyed region of Poland, with the highest level of unemployment. In the illegal coalmines at the city of Walbrzych over 5000 unemployed workers mine the coal. Each year a dozen or so lose their lives. The exhausting, dangerous work for several zlotys shows the truth of human condition and social system in Eastern Europe.

Finished University of Warsaw – department Human Studies. From 2002 he is studying film direction at Polish National Film School.
