Synopsis: A Zen – Buddhist interpretation on Hanoh Levin’s play “Hefetz”. The central question in the film is whether the Boy is eating a cake and enjoying it. A strict Zen teacher (a Bird) believes he doesn’t, because a cake is a product of vast illusion, “Maya” in Sanskrit. He teaches the Boy to be discipline and self – aware. Every time the Boy’s mind float, the Teacher wakes him up with a call:”Osuda”, until finally, the Boy breaks the borders of his reality and reaches an absolute, nirvana.

Jen – Shen Gur is the combination of my Russian and Hebrew names - Evgenia and Shani Gurevitch which means ginseng in Russian, which is the root of life in Chinese …
Came to Israel on 24.08.91.

2005 - Screening of the film “Milim”at Tricky Women’s festival (Austria) and at "Pulcinella" Festival (Italy). Screening of the film “The Cake” at the Anima Mundi 2005 (Brazil).

Currently work on an African fairy tale together with another animator.
