Synopsis: ”All that we are, is the result of what we have thought: it is founded on our thoughts; it is made up of our thoughts. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him, as the wheel follows the foot of the ox that draws the carriage. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him.” / Buddha. “Dhammapada”. Words create and ruin worlds and we bear the responsibility for it. Each one of us, in a certain way, is a creator of his own destiny. We can create monsters in our imagination, that will eat us from inside, or we can create life, by cherishing the miracle of the positive thinking.

Born on 18.02.79 in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia

Jen – Shen Gur is the combination of my Russian and Hebrew names - Evgenia and Shani Gurevitch which means ginseng in Russian, which is the root of life in Chinese …
Came to Israel on 24.08.91.
Live in Jerusalem.

1991 – 1993 Gymnasia (Jerusalem, Israel).
1997- 1993 Art School (Jerusalem, Israel) – Theater / Cinema / Music studies.
Art and Graphic Design specialization.
1998 – 2002 “Bezalel” Academy of Arts and Design (Jerusalem, Israel). Art department (BFA). Animation, photography and video specialization.
2002 – 2004 “Bezalel” Academy of Arts and Design (Jerusalem, Israel). Animation unit (diploma).

2000 - Screening of the video art “Vanna” on a second year exhibition, at Bezalel, Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, Israel
2002 - Screening of the video art “Veils” (combined stills and video techniques) at Bezalel exhibition. Review on the film at the magazine “Haaretz”.
2003 - An image film for a PERACH organization “Yom yetzirati venifla” (“A creative and wonderful day”).
2004 - Screening of two animation films “Milim” (“Words”) and “The Cake” at the Bezalel exhibition.
2005 - Screening of the film “Milim”at Tricky Women’s festival (Austria) and at "Pulcinella" Festival (Italy). Screening of the film “The Cake” at the Anima Mundi 2005 (Brazil).

Currently work on an African fairy tale together with another animator.
