Synopsis: Within the context of a Europe, which is about to change it’s political and economic structure, there is presently attention to the remembrance of the second World war, some 60 years ago.
This film deals with the beginning of the 20th century, and with the mechanisms of change.
As a protagonist we chose the symbol of the red flag, as an age-old symbol of social upheaval which is caused by every profound economical change.
The red flag becomes a horse, in the hands of Hollands most famous puppetmaster: Feike Boschma.
Travelling through time and space, the horse then leads us to several key-moments in 20th century European history, representing the torn soul of desperate man, who is driven by the forces of war and change and who is yet unable to turn the tide.
Finally, a new order is established and brings hope.
