DRAW ME A FISH
Bulgaria, 2005

Director: Lora Markova

Synopsis: A story about the imaginative process of painting, drawing and thinking, referring Exupery’s ‘Draw me a sheep’ and inspired by the Zen tale: A fish asked of another fish, "I have always heard about the sea, but what is it? Where is it?" The other fish replied, "You live, move and have your being in the sea. The sea is within you and without you, and you are made of sea, and you will end in sea. The sea surrounds you as your own being."

The meaning rests not only in the area of the language and the structure of the work, but also in the allusive and symbolic approaches to those regions of reality that cannot be precisely defined and formulated but may be expressed due to one’s immemorial capacity for intuitive cognition and experience.
