A struggling comprehensive school gets a make-over courtesy of the private sector. |
Director/Co-
Writer: John-Paul Harney
|
||
![]() |
John-Paul
experimented with film while taking a degree in painting and stayed on
to learn about digital media. After a year teaching at Duncan of Jordanstone
College of Art, he did a four-year stint in Soho, as a 3D visual effects
artist in film and commercials post-production, with arts and dance projects
in his free time, to keep the creative juices bubbling. He came to the
School to explore story-based narrative and flourished in the atmosphere
of peer group mutual brain-picking. In his future work, John-Paul plans
to continue using story as a means to explore ideas. |

somewhere in the limbo |
Director/ Writer:
Nicholas Losse |
||
![]() |
Nicholas Losse’s fascination with animation comes less
from an art school background and more from childhood Saturday mornings.
He has tried to maintain the playful and fantastical elements that made
animation so appealing to him then, in his work now. The unlimited potential
to weave stories within your own worlds and rules is what excites him.
Collaborating with the team at the National Film and Television School
gave him the opportunity to learn and apply directorial storytelling elements
to his illustration and design work. He cannot wait to develop further
story ideas and also do more illustration. |

The film tells the story of a little
creature, who`s mission is to bring good. It allways messes up the things
and the consequences are little unpleasent. With the delicate excuse “Oops”
it mooves on to the next who needs help. After few faults, the creature
decides that this has to end. It rips off and throws away it`s heart…
Alone at home it sees again the good in every evil. The victims found
again the happyness, although in another dimension. With new hope, she
returnes back to her mission. |
