Yael
EylatVan-Essen is the head of the Digital Media in Camera Obscura
School of Art, in Tel-Aviv, Israel, since its foundation in 1992.
She is a graduate of the Fine Art Department in Bezalel Academy of Art
and Design in Jerusalem and has a Master degree from Tel-Aviv University
in New-Media Theory.
She has been working in various media as installations, performances,
video-art and documentary and lately she is working on the theoretical
aspects of New Media.
She edited the first anthology which was published in the Hebrew language
on this subject, and she is currently working on a new book on "Electronic
Art".
She has participated in various conferences around the world on the subject
of New-Media and Electronic Art.
